Biography: Cully Hamner has created art for a wide range of publishers over the years, but he’s perhaps best known for co-creating Jaime Reyes, DC Comics’ current Blue Beetle, who made the leap to a feature film in 2023, as well as his creator-owned series Red, which became two popular RED films starring Bruce Willis.
His extensive work at DC Comics includes standout titles like Green Lantern: Mosaic, Blue Beetle, Black Lightning: Year One, and Detective Comics, helping shape some of the publisher’s most memorable stories and characters.
At Marvel Comics, Cully has contributed cover art for various Spider-Man titles, as well as Black Panther vs. Deadpool, War of the Realms, Yondu, M.O.D.O.K., Planet of the Apes, Alien, and the Joe Fixit series. He’s also lined up covers for Boom! Studios, AWA Studios, Tiny Onion, Mad Cave Studios, and several other publishers.
