Media Applications, Guidelines & Policies

PCX Austin is pleased to offer complimentary media credentials to qualified members of the press, content creators, podcasters, photographers, videographers, and media outlets covering the event. Media credentials are intended for individuals actively creating editorial content, news coverage, reviews, interviews, photography, video, or other media related to pop culture and fandom communities.

Please review the following guidelines before submitting an application.

Media Credential Application Guidelines

• Established print, broadcast, digital, and online media outlets may qualify for up to two media credentials.
• Approved bloggers, podcasters, streamers, photographers, videographers, and content creators may qualify for one media credential.
• Approved media credentials must be picked up on-site during event hours. Credentials will not be mailed in advance.
• A valid photo ID matching the name on the application may be required when picking up credentials.
• Media credentials are granted solely for the purpose of covering PCX Austin and related event activities.
• Interviews with guests must be coordinated and approved in advance through PCX Austin and/or the guest’s representative.
• Media credentials do not guarantee access to interviews, private events, backstage areas, green rooms, or restricted spaces.
• PCX Austin reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke media credentials at its sole discretion.
• Misuse of media credentials or misrepresentation of affiliation may result in removal from the event and denial of future credentials.

Media Coverage Regulations

• Live broadcasts and live-streaming activities must be approved in advance by PCX Austin.
• Media personnel may not obstruct attendee traffic, exhibitor booths, guest areas, panel rooms, or event operations.
• Photography and video recording may be restricted in certain areas, panels, screenings, or special events.
• Media must obtain permission before conducting interviews with exhibitors, vendors, artists, or attendees.
• Content captured at PCX Austin may be used for editorial and news coverage purposes.
• PCX Austin reserves the right to modify these policies at any time.
